There are already numerous providers and parents behind this campaign but we still need more people to show their support, so that we are in a strong position to demand a change to the way that ‘Free Entitlement’ operates. The following are suggestions for how you can raise awareness of the issue:
Email the Minister for Education
Secretary of State for Education, Michael Gove, is the MP ultimately responsible for reviewing the Code of Practice. By emailing him, and your local MP, it highlights the challenges that free entitlement, in its current form, poses to nursery providers and parents. You might also wish to contact Children’s Minister Sarah Teather who is directly involved in policy making for our sector.
